Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
4:39 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, North SR 15, north of West CR 1350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Oneida J. Cerda, 35, East CR 200N, Warsaw, and Francis R. Lynch, 50, South CR 1180E, Stroh. Cerda was traveling north on SR 15 when she lost control of her vehicle due to ice on the roadway. Cerda’s vehicle hit a guard rail. When her vehicle hit the guard rail, it bounced off, striking Lynch’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
1:10 p.m. Saturday, April 14, North CR 850E, near East CR 150N, Pierceton. Driver: Timothy J. Brady, 38, EMS W30A Lane, North Webster. Brady was traveling south on CR 850E and attempted to swerve when he noticed the road had a T intersection. Brady’s vehicle slid sideways, causing the driver’s side of the vehicle to strike an embankment. Brady complained of chest and back pain. He was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $10,000.
12:05 a.m. Thursday, April 12, South SR 25, south of West Winona Ave., Warsaw. Driver: Dana J. Barnes, 28, East Columbia St., Logansport. Barnes was traveling south on SR 25 when her vehicle left the side of the roadway and side swiped a NIPSCO utility pole. Damage up to $5,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:19 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 307 West School St. Drivers: Faith A. Fuller, 24, Anchorage Road 95, Warsaw, and Hannah Catt, 21, Golden Gate Way, Kokomo. Fuller was in a parking lot at Pierceton Elementary School when she put her vehicle in reverse to backup. Fuller didn’t notice that Catt’s vehicle was parked beside her, and she sideswiped the vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:20 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, County Farm Road, near Dausha Court. Driver: Marissa J. Lee, 39, South Parry Drive, Warsaw. Lee was traveling north on County Farm Road when a deer ran into the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
