U.S. 30 in Whitley, Kosciusko Counties Scheduled for Resurface on Monday
KOSCIUSKO — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that US 30 in Kosciusko and Whitley counties is scheduled to be resurfaced on or after Monday, April 16, weather permitting. The resurface work will take place between CR South 425W in Kosciusko County and CR North 650W in Whitley County through the towns of Larwill and Pierceton.
During the day, drivers are cautioned to watch for lane restrictions and possible stopped vehicles in the construction zone. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through any active work zone. A speed limit of 45 mph will be in effect when workers are present and will be strictly enforced.
The project was awarded to INDOT contractor Brooks Construction for $6.1 million and includes the asphalt resurface of SR 114 in Wabash County later this year. Work on US 30 is expected to be completed in early September, weather permitting.
