Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
1:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2473 Jalynn St. Drivers: Nicole A. Kats, 27, South State Road 19, Bourbon, and Melissa L. Eccles, 26, West CR 250S, Warsaw. Kats was backing out of a parking space at McDonald’s when her vehicle struck the front passenger’s side of Eccles’ vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
1:23 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, East Center St., near North Park Ave. Drivers: Ethan J. Booren, 17, North Harrison St., Warsaw, and Ashley A. Leon, 31, East Fawn Ave., Warsaw. Leon was traveling west on East Center St. when she approached an intersection and prepared to make a right turn. There was a pedestrian crossing the road and as she stopped to wait on them, Booren’s vehicle rear-ended her vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
1:18 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, Dubois Drive and Provident Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Donna J. Stone, 84, East SR 124, Peru, Wayne Christenberry, 55, North CR 150E, Warsaw. Christenberry told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on Dubois Drive when Stone’s vehicle turned into the path of his vehicle. Christenberry said he was unable to avoid a collision. Witnesses corroborated Christenberry’s story, stating that Stone failed to yield to Christenberry’s vehicle, which had the right of way. Stone, Christenberry and a passenger in Christenberry’s vehicle all complained of pain and were transported to the hospital. Damage up to $10,000.
Winona Lake
Officers from the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
9:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, North CR 175E and East Kosciusko Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Jared M. Borkholder, 32, CR 36, Goshen, Trenton F. Shively, 36, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Police said Borkholder swerved his vehicle into Shively’s vehicle during a police pursuit. Neither driver was injured and Borkholder was arrested on multiple charges. Damage up to $50,000.
