Gregory Worth Jackson
Gregory (Greg) Worth Jackson, 67, Milford, died April 10, 2018, to begin his eternal heavenly life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was born on June 1, 1950, to Worth and Betty Jackson of Milford. He graduated from Milford High School in 1968 and Purdue University with a degree in Agricultural Engineering in 1973. On June 20, 1975, he married the love of his life, Virginia Nell Jackson. Immediately following his college graduation, he was employed by International Harvester and Farm Fans before returning to Milford to run the family farm. Farming was much more than an occupation for Mr. Jackson. It was a way of life and he did it well.
He was an active member of Wawasee Community Bible Church, and was involved in music worship and teaching Sunday School during his years of membership. He was also an avid Purdue University fan, rarely missing a basketball or football game. He was a lover of southern gospel music, and in recent years enjoyed learning ballroom dancing. Always with a book in his hand, he loved a lifetime of learning about history, the foundation of our country and anything else he could get his hands on.
Gregory Jackson is survived by his wife Nell, Milford; son, Eric (Amanda), Milford; daughter, Rachel (Matthew) Welte, Milford; son, Mark (Wency), Warsaw; his mother, Betty Witman, Milford; granddaughters: Kaitlynn, Emma and Madison Jackson. He is also survived by his brother, Stuart Jackson and sisters: Sherrie Plummer and Maureen Kuhns; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Worth Jackson in 1973.
A memorial service will be held at Wawasee Community Bible Church, 2035 E 1300 N, Milford, at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 14. Visitation will follow immediately until 4 p.m.
