Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
4:32 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, West Crystal Lake Road, east of South CR 600E, Warsaw. Driver: Bruce Swope, 56, Quincy Road, North Liberty. Swipe was driving east on Crystal Lake Road when an unknown animal entered the roadway. Swope swerved his vehicle, which caused him to lose control, exit the roadway and strike a fence post. Damages up to $5,000.
4:53 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, SR 15, south of West CR 900N, Milford. Drivers: Judy Sims, 66, Creek Bend Lane, Milford, and Matthew Fuller, 39, Happiness Drive, Syracuse. Sims had her vehicle stopped on the right side of SR 15. When she began to pull her vehicle back out onto SR 15 she pulled into the path of Fuller’s vehicle. Fuller attempted to swerve his vehicle but was unable to avoid the collision. Sims and her passenger John Beckman, 44, Milford, both signed off on injuries. Fuller’s passenger Cassandra Fuller, 40, Syracuse, was flown from the scene by air ambulance with a possible hip injury. Damages up to $50,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 610 Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Driver: Trey Metheny, 19, Aubrie Lane, Plymouth. Methaney’s vehicle lost traction, causing the vehicle to slide off the roadway, over the curb and strike the concrete base of a light post. Damages up to $5,000.
