Max William Moore — UPDATED
Max William Moore, 75, Winona Lake, passed away at 1:10 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018, at his home. He was born on June 4, 1942, in Fort Wayne to John W. and Josephine G. (Hoover) Moore.
He graduated in 1960 from Southside High School in Fort Wayne and in 1965 from Purdue University in West Lafayette. He was married on Sept. 29, 1984, in South Bend to Joyce Ann (Lamirand) Dean, who survives. He retired in 2002 from GE / OEC Medical Systems in Warsaw as a Manufacturing Engineer. In 1987 he moved to Leesburg from Muncie and then to Port Charlotte, Fla. in 2013 before returning to Winona Lake in September 2017.
He formerly attended the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Joyce Moore, Winona Lake; two sons: John William (Paula) Moore, Winona Lake; Michael Mathew (Mary Mendoza) Moore, Port Charlotte, Fla.; three stepsons: Timothy Alan (Judy) Bragg, South Bend; Daniel Richard (Debra) Bragg, Edwardsburg, Mich.; Michael Jay Dean, Decatur, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jack McGee Moore.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and C.R. 500N, North Webster. Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Brown of the God’s Highway to Heaven Church in Warsaw. Private family burial will take place in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery at a later date.
