Ella Irene Cook
Ella Irene Cook, 74, Silver Lake, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born Oct. 10, 1943, in Brookville, Ohio to Henry and Nannie (Huffman) Graybill. On July 6, 1968, she married Melvin Cook. He passed away March 17, 2012.
Mrs. Cook was a homemaker and had previously worked at Manchester University and National Trail School in New Paris, Ohio as a cook. She was a member of Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Silver Lake.
She is survived by daughters: Michaela (Arlen) Bower, Keota, Iowa; Dorinda (Jesse) Bowman, Rocky Mount, Va. and Jenny (Randy) Moore, Silver Lake; sisters: Martha (John) Frances, Greenville, Ohio and Lois (Roger) VanOsdol, Hillsboro, Ohio; foster sister, Margaret “Ann” Earnest, Kettering, Ohio and 19 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Carl and Charles Graybill and three sisters: Shirley Wrightsman, Alice Huffman and Olive Tatum.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 9 at Eel River Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Packerton Road and CR 1200S, Silver Lake and from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 at Prices Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church, three miles south of Eldorado, Ohio on SR 726.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11 at Prices Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Home brethren will officiate. Burial will be in Prices Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, Eldorado, Ohio.
