ELKHART — A woman has been arrested for the murder of Johnny Mullins, whose body was discovered Monday.
Cindy Goodwin, 50, of Visscher Drive in Elkhart, is the woman in custody, according a release issued by the Eklhart County Prosecutor’s Office early Thursday afternoon.
She is expected in court Friday for a hearing scheduling future court dates and bond setting, though formal charges are expected to be filed Tuesday, April 10.
The arrest announcement comes after Mullins’ body was found in the woods behind an apartment building. Police had been called about a possible shooting in the area.
Police said a number of witnesses were helpful in identifying the potential suspect.
On Wednesday, NewsCenter 16’s Kim Shine spoke with Mullins’ family, who remembered a fun-loving, well-liked DJ at My Dad’s Place.
