Milford Library Announces Upcoming Events
MILFORD — The Milford Public Library board will meet April 16 at 5 p.m. to discuss any ongoing business. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the meeting room.
TEEN BLANKETS —Teens began making blankets at the library during the 2017 Summer Reading Program and continued throughout the school year. Volunteers in the community also helped complete the blankets.
LAPSIT — Lapsit continues with Miss Kaitlyn with sessions at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17. This spring’s theme is music. Lapsit is a program for children under three years old. Lapsit introduces children to literature with interactive finger plays, music, and stories. Lapsit lasts about 20 minutes. No library card is needed. CHILDREN AND EARTH DAY — Children will learn about Earth Day at Story Time at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, and at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19. Story Time introduces children to literature in a fun, educational environment with stories, crafts and snacks. Children will create birds using recycled book pages and enjoy Earth Day cookies. STAFF RECOMMENDATION — Library clerk Travis Blackburn is currently reading “The Mysterious Affairs of Styles” by Agatha Christie. The novel is the first in the Hercule Poirot series by Agatha Christie. Milford Public Library has many of Agatha Christie’s novels available for checkout. They can be found in the adult fiction section.
