UPDATE — Three Syracuse Residents Injured In Monday’s Rollover Accident
LEESBURG — Three Syracuse residents were injured after a vehicle left the roadway and rolled onto its top on Monday, March 19.
John Asher, 26, East CR 1300N, Syracuse, was driving a Ford Taurus westbound on East CR 700N in Leesburg. Asher told officers that he lost control of the vehicle in the gravel at the corner of East CR 700N and North Harper Road. After he lost control, the vehicle struck a utility pole on the passenger side and overturned onto its top.
Asher was partially entrapped and was extricated by the Plain Township Fire Department. He complained of shoulder pain and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital by ambulance.
Dean Culbertson, 55, East CR 1300 N, Syracuse, was riding in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Dean was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Lutheran Hospital by a Lutheran Air Ambulance for possible internal injuries. Jamie Culbertson, 56, East CR 1300 N, Syracuse, was riding in the rear passenger side of the vehicle. Jamie Culbertson was also extricated from the vehicle and she was in and out of consciousness at the scene. She was also transported to Lutheran Hospital by a Lutheran Air Ambulance for a possible head injury. It was noted that officers believed Jamie Culbertson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Damages were estimated at up to $10,000.
