Edwin D. Biesemeyer
Edwin D. “Ed” Biesemeyer, 93, Silver Lake, passed away at 6:40 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018, at Warsaw Meadows in Warsaw.
He was born on Dec. 13, 1924, in Muncie, to Henry and Lillian (Shroyer) Biesemeyer.
He grew up in Muncie, graduated from Muncie Central High School, and was a United States Navy veteran. He was married to Elsie (Meadows) Biesemeyer, who survives. He retired in 1975 as the owner and operator of Barbee Marina of Barbee Lake and was formerly employed at Weatherhead Corporation in Muncie and Syracuse as well as Da Lite Screen in Warsaw. He moved to the North Webster and Warsaw area in 1957 from Muncie, until he retired to the Silver Lake area.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Warsaw where he was a 32nd Degree Mason and very active in the U.S. Submarine Veterans Silverside Base Club.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Biesemyer, Silver Lake; a daughter, Karen (Brian) Yacovone, Pearland, Texas; a son, Dave (Dorothy) Biesemeyer, North Webster; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 23, at the Mock Cemetery Addition of the North Webster Cemetery, CR 850E, North Webster, with Pastor Hedgel Perry of the Living Hope Ministry officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, is in charge of all arrangements.
