Raymond “Ray” Hochstetler, 53, Rochester, passed away at 6:45 p.m. on March 16, 2018, at Life Care Center Rochester.
On Sept. 17, 1964, in Elkhart, Raymond L. “Ray” Hochstetler was born. He was the son of Glen and Sara Antisdale Hochstetler. Growing up he shared his childhood with three brothers: Glen, Bruce and David.
He moved to Rochester from Plymouth about ten years ago. Prior to his declining health he worked for Modern Materials. Mr. Hochstetler relaxed best while playing video games. He was a feline fancier who was owned by four cats: Stripey, Boots, Sox and Smokey.
Left to cherish his memory are his special friends Debra and Gary Lakey of Rochester; Mark Dawson of Jackson, Ohio; his father, Glen Hochstetler of Nappanee; and three brothers: Glen Hochstetler Jr. of Nappanee, Bruce Hochstetler and David Hochstetler. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A celebration of the life of Raymond “Ray” Hochstetler will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester. Friends may visit with his family an hour prior to services.
