Area Police Reports
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following incidents:
- 9:23 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 12800 block South SR 14, Akron. Leester L. England reported burglary.
- 11:44 a.m. Sunday, March 18, 100 block EMS T29 Lane, Leesburg. Police responded to reports of a male looking into vehicles at the Oswego Mini Mart, yelling at unknown persons and generally acting suspicious.
- 7:08 a.m. Sunday, March 18, 400 block East CR 1150N, Milford. Police received a report of a male entering a home without invitation and in violation of a protective order. The male was gone upon officer arrival.
- 5:15 p.m. Friday, March 16, 3700 block West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Police completed a citizen’s assist report. Diamond J. Dove reported damage to a vehicle that was towed.
- 12:33 p.m. Friday, March 16, 10600 block North Southshore Drive, Syracuse. Donna J. Beck reported a burglary. Items stolen include jewelry, watches and gold coins. Value: $65,300.
- 8:18 p.m. Monday, March 12, 8400 block West SR 14, and South CR 850W, Akron. Susan K. Criswell reported a hit and run accident.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following incident:
- 3:03 p.m. Friday, March 16, 9000 block East Backwater Road, North Webster. NIPSCO reported damage to utility poles, electric SVC and a gutter in the area of East Backwater Road.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following incidents:
- 12:03 a.m. Sunday, March 18, 2500 block Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Police responded to a report of theft at WalMart. Value: $372.86.
- 7:23 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2600 block East Center Street, Warsaw. Police responded to a traffic accident that resulted in an OWI investigation.
- 5:46 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2500 block Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. A wallet belonging to Nubly O. Hernandez was found and turned in.
- 3:03 p.m. Friday, March 16, 100 block South Bronson Street and East Center Street, Warsaw. Police responded to the report of an operator never licensed.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following incident:
- 10:41 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 1200 block Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Police responded to the report of a subject making a verbal threat over telephone to another subject.
