Janice Mardelle Taylor
Janice Mardelle Taylor, 83, formerly of Winona Lake, passed away at 2 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
She was born Oct. 22, 1934, in West Unity, Ohio to Earnest Seymour Bowers and Thelma Lenore (Stantz) Bowers. On Aug. 22, 1953, she was married in Montpelier, Ohio to Richard Lee Taylor. They shared 59 years of marriage together before he passed away on Sept. 22, 2012.
She had been a longtime resident of Kosciusko County, living in Winona Lake before moving to Wakarusa, in 2015. She was a homemaker and member of Warsaw Wesleyan Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Cinda Jan (husband Michael) Chase, Burlington, Ky.; Minda Sue (husband Tom) Davenport, Florida; and her son: David R. (wife Jodi) Taylor, Wakarusa. She also leaves behind her son-in-law: Clinton Olson, North Webster; 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Linda Joy Olson in January 2015, one granddaughter: Leslie Taylor, and three brothers: Lowell, Eugene, and Norman Bowers.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Monday, March 19, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Jarod Osborne. Burial will take place at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
