Claude V. ‘Butch’ Myers Jr.
Claude V. “Butch” Myers Jr., 65, Pierceton, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at his home. He was born on Oct. 6, 1952, in Dover, Dele. to Claude V. and Tonya Geniva (Warne) Myers Sr.
He was a lifetime Pierceton area resident, graduated in 1972 from Whitko High School in South Whitley, and was a United States Army veteran. He was married Nov. 17, 1984 in Columbia City, to Deborah Sue “Deb” Wilson who preceded him on Sept. 2, 2017. He formerly worked for Byron Miller as an electrician, Gooding RV, Marble Creations, and Starcraft in Goshen.
He is survived by two daughters: Heather Myers, Pierceton; Christina Jean Myers, Larwill; son, Chad Michael Myers, Pierceton; ten grandchildren; two sisters: Mollie (Russell) Starkey, Wolf Lake; and Tonya “Tony” (Terry) Staker, Fort Wayne; and a brother, John Myers, Columbia City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 19, at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, in the funeral home with Pastor Bret Frymier of the Asbury United Methodist Church officiating. Burial and military graveside rites will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (Snodgrass) Cemetery near Larwill.
