Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
9 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, South Packerton Road, north of East SR 14, Silver Lake. Driver: Lindsey S. OHara, 22, East CR 1000S, Claypool. OHara told police she was southbound on Packerton Road when she lost control of her vehicle on the ice-covered roadway. OHara said her vehicle left the east side of the roadway, striking a corner post and utility pole. OHara complained of pain to her left hand and was checked by a medic at the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
7:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 13. South SR 15, south of West CR 900S, Silver Lake. Driver: Thomas C. Hall, 32, East 2nd Street, North Manchester. Hall told police he was traveling northbound on SR 15 when he observed a semi attempting to pull onto SR 15. Hall said he applied brakes, causing his vehicle to skid and leave the roadway, striking a concrete post. Damage up to $5,000.
7:27 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, North CR 750W, north of West CR 650N, Etna Green. Driver: Caleb J. Kaufman, 18, North CR 750W, Etna Green. Kaufman told police he was driving southbound on CR 750W when he lost control of his vehicle on ice and snow, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
Marshall
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
9:54 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, Lincoln Highway, east of Pioneer Drive. Driers; Sarah Betz, 40, Plymouth and Zaccheus Hutchings, 45, Plymouth. Both Betz and Hutchings sustained unknown injuries. No further information was available.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:26 p.m. Monday, March 12, East Center Street and North Roosevelt St., Warsaw. Drivers: Connie M. Powell, 63, South Etna Street, Etna Green, Elizabeth A. Yeiter, 17, Timber Lane, Winona Lake. Powell told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on South Roosevelt Street and was stopped on the south side of East Center Street. She said vehicles in the right lane of eastbound traffice stopped to allow her to turn left. She said she did not see the vehicle driven by Yeiter driving east in the left lane. Yeiter said she was unable to stop to avoid hitting Powell’s vehicle with her own. Damage up to $5,000.
10:36 a.m. Monday, March 12, Armstrong Road, Warsaw. Driver: Brent D. Campbell, 54, West CR 200S, Huntington. Campbell told police he was pulling into a driveway on Armstrong road when the trailer being pulled by his vehicle struck the rear end of a parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
8:46 a.m. Monday, March 12, North Parker Street, north of Walter Way, Warsaw. Driver: Natasha N. Marshall, 23, North Parker Street, Warsaw. Marshall told police she was attempting to make a right hand turn our of her driveway and onto North Parker Street when she over-accelerated, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a curb and utility pole. Damage up to $5,000.
