Robert Frank Roe
Robert “Bob” Frank Roe, 75, Ligonier, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Avalon Village in Ligonier. He was born on Jan. 10, 1943, the son of Wilbur and Zelma (Stuckman) Roe. On May 4, 1985, he married Marilyn J. Sheley, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Kathy (Juan) Diaz and Brian (Tina) Roe, both of Goshen; six grandchildren, Brittney, Elisa, William, Kristen, Whitney, Lindsey, Haley, and Kelsey; nine lovely great-grandchildren; four siblings, Larry (Jeanette) Roe of Crawfordsville, Fla.; Bill (Peggy) Knight of Elizabethtown, Ky.; Emma Bootz and Ida Lou (Glenn) Hillbert, both of Tempe, Ariz. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Jerry Knight and Nancy Knight.
Mr. Roe was a lifetime area resident and graduated from Syracuse High School in 1962. He retired from Tenneco after nearly 20 years of service and was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Cromwell. He was an avid birdwatcher and loved to read, especially the Bible. Bob was also very talented and enjoyed small building projects from crafting a headboard to making a doghouse for the family dog, Pepper. He loved all sorts of animals, even cats.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at 2 p.m., March 17,at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Elder Bill Keller will officiate.
A cremation committal has taken place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier. Burial will take place at a later date at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.
