Marilyn Anderson
Marilyn A. Anderson, 80, Bourbon, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 8, at home with her family at her side.
Marilyn was born the daughter of Forst and Georgia Sechrist Lutes in Kosciusko County Oct. 16, 1937. On Feb. 9, 1957, in Fort Wayne, she became the bride of Gerald Anderson, who survives.
She graduated from Atwood High School with the class of 1955 and attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Atwood.
She worked many years in the banking business with banks such as Twinsburg Bank, Twinsburg, Ohio, Old Phoenix Bank, Akron, Ohio, Etna Green Bank of Etna Green, and as a bookkeeper for Bourbon Lumber Company. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution. In her spare time she enjoyed: knitting, crocheting, quilting, taking pictures, camping, her dog and most of all her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Those left to share memories are her husband, Gerald; her mother, Georgia Lutes, Bourbon; two daughters, Sallie and Michael Chapman and Sonia and Lonny Berkey, all of Bourbon; three grandchildren, Race and Kristen Berkey, Brandon and Lily Chapman and Tate and Lena Chapman, all of Bourbon; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Judith Burgess, Bourbon. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in passing by her father and son, Jeffrey.
A service will be held at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main Street, Bourbon, Indiana, at 3 p.m. Monday, March 12. Family will welcome friends from 1 p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bourbon Fire Department in her memory.
