RMH Franchise Holdings Investigates Data Breach At Local Applebee’s Locations
WARSAW — RMH Franchise Holdings is currently investigating a data incident affecting payment cards used at Applebee’s locations.
According to RMH’s website, unauthorized software was placed on the point-of-sale system at various Applebee’s restaurants.
Information such as certain guests’ names, credit or debit card numbers, expiration dates, and card verification codes may have been affected by the software.
Payments made online or through self-pay tabletop devices were not affected.
The Warsaw Applebee’s location was affected by the software from Dec. 6, 2017 to Jan. 2.
Other nearby Applebee’s locations listed on RMH’s website include Elkhart, Goshen, Huntington and Plymouth.
RMH Franchise Holdings strongly encourages guests to closely monitor pay statements and immediately notify their bank if they see an unauthorized charge on their card.
