O.N.E. Surgeon Talks Living With Arthritis March 13
WARSAW — More than 50 million Americans have arthritis, according to the Arthritis Foundation. But having arthritis doesn’t mean being constrained to living in debilitating pain. There are options to reduce the pain and stiffness associated with this degenerative disease, and studies have shown changes in lifestyle can have a positive impact on maintaining your quality of life.
Parkview Warsaw’s Center for Healthy Living has announced that Micah W. Smith, MD, from Ortho NorthEast will lead a discussion on how arthritis can affect the spine, including back pain, bursitis, degenerative disk, spinal stenosis and more. Participants will learn ways to maintain an active lifestyle, even while living with arthritis.
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Smith specializes in cervical spine deformity and minimally invasive surgery. Fellowship trained at the University of Utah, Smith has research experience regarding herniated discs and has been recognized for his research in spine deformity and spine trauma. He is a member of the North American Spine Society and AO Spine.
Seating for the event, which will be held at the Parkview Center for Healthy Living located inside the Parkview Warsaw YMCA, is limited. To reserve your seat, please call (260) 266-6500.
