Three Rivers Conference: Academic All-TRC Rolls Released
AKRON — Nine Tippecanoe Valley athletes were named Academic All-Three Rivers Conference for the winter sports season, and another five made the TRC’s academic all-conference honorable mention list, it was announced Tuesday.
Senior girls basketball players Olivia Trippiedi and Addy Miller were both selected for All-TRC Academic honors, as were junior teammates Emily Peterson and Sophie Bussard. Senior Dakota Parker and junior Cameron Parker were named to the first team for Valley boys basketball, while seniors Camden Tucker and Jacob McDonald and junior Tiphanie Hodge were named for Valley’s swim programs.
Making the honorable mention rolls for Valley were junior boys basketball player Wes Melanson, senior girls basketball player Asia O’Connor, senior swimmers Travis Shull and Wes Johnston and senior wrestler Seth Hoffman.
Meanwhile, six Manchester athletes made the academic all-conference list, and another 11 made honorable mention.
Senior Manchester girls basketball players Erika Kendall, Kerigan Hatfield and Sydney Day were all named to the first list, and junior boys basketball players Konrad Borgmann, Logan Parrett and Jimi Cripe also made the cut. Boys basketball players to make the honorable mention list for the Squires were juniors Kamdyn Lester, Drew McAtee and Mason Meyer, while juniors Emma West and Kennedy Fierstos and senior Emily Mize were named to the second list for the girls basketball team. Juniors Halie Wampler, Jacob Slavkin and Cora Barnett were named for the swim teams, as was senior Kennedy Rosen.
For Whitko, five basketball players earned Academic All-TRC selections, and two were given Honorable Mention.
Juniors Emalee Duggins, Ellie Snep, Sarah Hewitt and Elizabeth Foutz were all named Academic All-TRC for the Lady Wildcats, while junior Cade Bechtold was singled out from the boys team. Senior River West and junior Anna Ousley were to the academic honorable mention list.
A total of 69 first team and 60 honorable mention selections were named to the league’s academic all-conference rolls for the winter sports season.
