Sandra “Sandy” Ellis, 62, Warsaw, passed away at 4:49 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2018, in her residence. She was born on Jan. 22, 1956 in Ellijay, Ga., to Ted and Sarah (Chastian) Carringer.
She lived most of her life in Kosciusko County. On April 7, 1984 she was united in marriage to Jim Ellis in Warsaw. During her life, she worked at Little Crow Food as a Quality Control Specialist; she previously worked for the USDA as well. She attended Beaver Dam United Methodist Church. In addition, she was an extremely compassionate person, liked to paint, and loved her family and friends with loyalty.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Ellis, Warsaw; daughter, Lavonda Davis, Corbin, Ky.; brother, Gary Carringer, Knoxville, Tenn.; grandchildren: Kevin and Brandan Davis, Corbin, Ky.; sisters-in-law: Charlene Johnson, Warsaw; and Jennifer Ellis, Fishers; as well as mother-in-law: Donna Ellis, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ted and Sarah Carringer; son: Justin Ellis; sisters: Susan and Mellisa Carringer.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11-1 p.m. Friends and family will speak at the service. Interment will be held at a later date.
