Susan “Sue” Kay Hobbs, 75, of Wabash, passed peacefully with her family at her bedside on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at her residence.
Hobbs was born on April 25, 1942 in Stroh to Charles and Marjorie (McLain) Geark.
She married on May 4, 1963 in LaGrange, Indiana to Danny Paul Hobbs, he survives.
Hobbs had been a secretary for Wabash Instrument. Sue and her husband had also been house parents for White’s Institute.
She was a 1960 graduate of LaGrange High School and then attended International Business College of Ft. Wayne, Ind. She is an active member of the Church of Christ at Treaty of Wabash where she loved Jesus and encouraging others. She enjoyed reading, pets, spending time with her grandchildren, and attending their sporting events.
Survivors include her husband Danny Hobbs, Wabash; daughter Kim and husband Robbie Lewis, Macy; son Mark and wife Gay Lynn Hobbs, Lafontainel granddaughters Bailey and Ellie Hobbs; grandsons Conner and Braden Hobbs; mother Marjorie Geark, Topeka; sister Dorothy Barkey, Topeka; and brother Jim Geark, Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles Geark in 1995.
Following Sue’s request, no services will be held at this time.
