LCA Basketball: LCA Stars Continue To Shine On Court
LEBANON – The high school girls basketball season may be over, but a pair of Lakeland Christian Academy players had quite a tournament on Saturday.
LCA seniors Jess Slone and Hope Fancil both took part in the seventh annual Indiana Elite North-South All-Star game at Lebanon High School. The game, which is a college showcase and scouted by coaches from around the Midwest, saw the North beat the South 112-86.
In the parade of scoring for the North All-Stars were 10 points from Slone and 28 points from Fancil, whose day befitted her with the Most Valuable Player award for the day.
The two helped LCA to its finest girls basketball season in program history, winning 16 games, the inaugural Hoosier Plains Conference championship, and picking up its first two sectional wins before losing to Lakewood Park in the championship of the Bethany Christian Sectional.
