Train Derailment Causes Closed Railroad Crossings In Warsaw
WARSAW — The east/west railroad crossings at Scott Street and South Maple Avenue are closed due to a train derailment this morning, March 2.
A westbound train of flat cars were carrying railroad iron when three of the cars jumped the track near Winona Avenue where the north/south tracks intersect the east/west tracks.
There were no injuries and there is no danger to residents or businesses. All cars are upright.
The crossings are expected to remain closed through at least 4 p.m. today.
