Robert L. Friddle
Robert L. “Bob” Friddle, 87, Leesburg, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Goshen Hospital in Goshen.
He was born on June 9, 1930, in Indianapolis to Lacel Fay and Eva Lavonne (Munden) Friddle.
He graduated in 1949 from Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis and was a United States Air Force veteran. On June 15, 1951, in Indianapolis, he married to Patricia J. “Pat” Flanagan, who survives. He retired in 1986 from AT&T after 35 years in the telephone industry. He was raised in the Indianapolis area, lived in Kokomo, was a summer lake resident since 1962 and moved to Leesburg and North Webster area permanently in 1984.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in North Webster, Telephone Pioneers of America, and was a former Ham Radio Operator. He and his wife formerly delivered Mobile Meals for many years in North Webster.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Connie (Robert) Whikehart, Avon; two sons: Robert “Bruce” (Pattie) Friddle, Cumberland; Duane (Tomi) Friddle, Leesburg; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., on Friday, March 2, at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at North Webster United Methodist Church, 7822 E. Epworth Forest Rd., North Webster with Pastor Byron Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow in Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
