Town Of Syracuse Constructing, Financing Improvements To Sewage Works
SYRACUSE — The town of Syracuse adopted an ordinance on Feb. 20, to move forward with sewage work improvements.
The ordinance outlines additions and improvements to the town’s sewage works, consisting of the improvement of the treatment plant, extension and improvement to the collection system and other related improvements, equipment and construction.
The cost of the improvement project, including incidental expenses, is estimated to be $1,300,000, which will be funded from available cash fund and bond proceeds. The ordinance ordered the cost of the project to be financed by the issuance of sewage works revenue bonds in an amount not to exceed $750,000 and, if necessary, bond anticipation notes in an amount not to exceed $750,000.
