Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
6:56 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, North CR 1000E, north of East CR 1000N, Syracuse. Driver: Daniel L. Haab, 50, North Camelot Lane East, Cromwell. Haab was driving north on CR 1000E when due to gravel on the roadway, he lost control of his moped. Haab sustained an injury to his head with minor bleeding. Damage up to $1,000.
6:58 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, East CR 200N, north of East CR 100N, Warsaw. Driver: Rachel N. Bowers, 44, North CR 400E, Warsaw. Bowers was driving south on CR 400E when a deer entered the roadway. Bowers’ vehicle struck the deer with the passenger side of her vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
8:38 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 326 Rattington Circle. Driver: Benjamin I. Coble, 42, North CR 475E, Leesburg. Coble left the scene of the accident, declining to return to the scene and stating that he didn’t care if he was arrested. The owner of a parked and unoccupied vehicle stated that she saw Coble drive into her vehicle after a verbal argument. Coble’s vehicle’s front bumper struck the parked vehicle in the rear. The owner of the unoccupied vehicle said that Coble was her ex-husband. Damage up to $5,000.
4:22 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, North Parker Street, near East Fort Wayne Street. Drivers: Erin R. Ransbottom, 24, East CR 200N, Pierceton, and Rochelle L. Devenney, 27, East CR 350S, Pierceton. Ransbottom was driving south on North Parker Street and stated that the vehicle in front of Devenney’s vehicle started to turn, leading Devenney’s vehicle to stop abruptly. The front center of Ransbottom’s vehicle struck the rear of Devenney’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
3:16 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, US 30, east of North CR 150W. Drivers: Alfredo Dirico, 80, West Lake Street, Warsaw, and Ruben Saucedo, 31, Wooster Road 17, Winona Lake. Dirico was driving west on US 30 and approached an intersection, moving into the left turn lane. Saucedo’s vehicle was stopped in traffic in the left turn lane when Dirico’s vehicle struck his in the rear. Damage up to $10,000.
11:10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, Husky Trail, near Mariners Drive. Drivers: Linda A. Torpy, 73, South CR 400E, Claypool, and Connie L. Eaton, 68, Deerfield Path, Warsaw. Torpy was driving east on Mariners Drive approaching the roundabout. Torpy said that she didn’t see Eaton’s vehicle traveling south through the roundabout. Torpy’s vehicle struck the front and rear side doors of Eaton’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
