Garry L. Nichols
Garry L. Nichols, 64, Argos, died at 7:27 a.m., Feb. 21, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in South Send, Indiana following a very sudden illness.
Mr. Nichols was born Oct. 23, 1953, in Peru, to Harold “Nick” Nichols and Chloe Marie (Boyer) Nichols and had lived in Argos the past 28 years, coming from the Bass Lake Area.
On May 19, 1990, in Plymouth, he married Michelle L. Lowry, and together they had shared the past 27 years with each other.
He was self-employed owning and operated G&M Repair as a fork lift technician. He also worked for BT Equipment in Goshen.
He had served on the Bass Lake Fire Department from 1971 to 1989 and had served as Fire Chief. He was a graduate of Knox High School with the class of 1972.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Nichols, Argos; daughters: Carrie J. (Alan) Balchunas, Delphi; Heather N. (Bryan) Corn, Culver; son, Jason L. (Alisha) Nichols, Argos; six grandchildren: Kaydence, Peyton, Gabriel, Samantha, Hope and Aryonna; brother, Terry W. (Lisa) Nichols, Knox; sisters: Sherry (George) Fort, Knox; LInda (Larry) Combs, Knox; and Lori Rowe, Brownsburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home. Services will follow directly with Rev. Robert E. Rice Jr. of the Walnut Church of the Brethren. Burial will follow at New Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth.
