Columbia City Business Owner Arrested On Battery Charges
COLUMBIA CITY — A 56 year old man from Columbia City was arrested this morning on multiple battery charges following a three month long investigation by the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigation Division from the Fort Wayne Post.
The investigation conducted by Detective Matt Teusch revealed on Oct. 27, 2017, a 54 year old woman from Columbia City scheduled a massage with the owner of Goin’ Postal, 56 year old Anees Qureshi, who purportedly told her that he was a certified massage therapist. At approximately 7:30 p.m. on that date, she returned to Goin’ Postal located at 1020 Spartan Drive in Columbia City.
During the victim’s visit, Qureshi allegedly touched her in a sexually explicit manner three times. On Nov. 1, 2017, she contacted the Fort Wayne Post to lodge her criminal complaint.
At the conclusion of his investigation, Teusch forwarded his report to the Whitley County Prosecutor’s Office for review. That office filed three counts of battery, class B misdemeanors, against Quresh.
Qureshi was taken to and incarcerated in the Whitley County Jail. He has since been release on bond.
