Sandra Irene Frush
Sandra Irene Frush, 78, Warsaw, passed away at 10:20 a.m., Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born on June 1, 1939, in Warsaw, to Clarence James Salman and Irene (Rhoades) Salman. On June 1, 1958, in Pierceton, she married Earl Burkett Frush, who passed away Feb. 21, 2011, after sharing 52 years together.
Mrs. Frush was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where she was a graduate of Pierceton High School in 1957. She was very active in the community and was former clerk treasurer of the Town of Pierceton and former deputy clerk treasurer for the City of Warsaw. She was the director of the Kosciusko County Mental Health Association for 17 years and was very active in the Jail Ministry. She was a member of Pierceton United Methodist Church in Pierceton and will be dearly missed by her church family, family and friends.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son: Samuel (wife Katrina) Frush, Pierceton; daughter: Roberta “Robin” Frush, Warsaw; four grandchildren: Tiffany (husband Brendon) Fields, Warsaw; Bryan Frush, Pierceton; Austin Frush, Warsaw; and Meghan Frush, Pierceton. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren: Owen and Olivia; and her sister: Barbara Bignold, Washington state. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her grandson, Brandon Christian Frush.
A time for gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 23, at Redpath –Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. A celebration of Sandra’s life will follow at 6 p.m.,officiated by Pastor Holly White. Burial will be at a later date at Graceland Cemetery, Claypool, Indiana.
