Patricia J. Eber
Patricia J. Eber, 65, Columbia City, died at 12:07 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
She was born Nov. 23, 1952, in Columbia City a daughter of Harley Ault and Joyce Goff. Her formative years were spent in Garrett where she graduated from Garrett High School.
On Aug. 2, 1986, she was united in marriage to Jack C. Eber. They have always made their home in Columbia City.
She had 15 years of service with Coupled Products, Columbia City and since 2011, she had been employed with Renaissance Village, Columbia City.
An avid Colts and Cubs fan, she enjoyed following her teams. She bowled in the local Classy Ladies bowling league. An accomplished vegetable gardener, she delighted in raising tomatoes. Always a devoted spouse, she had lunch daily with her husband who resides in a care facility.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; three step children: Douglas C. (Krista) Eber, Columbia City, Dale S. Eber, Fort Wayne and Jacqueline S. (Jason) Eber-Orr, Columbia City; two grandchildren; step-siblings, Steve (Pam) Loe, Columbia City, Dan (Judy) Loe, Albion, and Mary (Jerry) Roberts, Tennessee; a godson, Zach Zeller, Churubusco; aunts, Gayle (Bill) Hull and Alyce Hackworth, both of South Whitley and an uncle, Carl Goff, New Haven.
She was preceded in death by a half-brother, Terry Loe.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial will be in the South Park Annex Cemetery. Visitation will be noon Saturday until the service time at the funeral home.
