PLYMOUTH — Rochester used an 18-9 third period to grab a 39-26 lead and held off Triton, 54-41 in a game played at Plymouth Tuesday night.
The Zebras shot the ball better, going 23 for 40 (57.5) percent from the floor versus Triton’s 15-for-50 (30 percent) clip, which included a rough, 8-for-27 second half. Brady Perez finished 19 of his 14 shots for a team-high 19 points for Rochester, while Ross Johnson scored a game-high 20 points but needed 20 shots to get there. The rest of the Trojans lineup combined for just seven buckets in the loss, the team’s second straight.
The third quarter also undid the JV Trojans in their 49-40 loss to Rochester. The Zebras used a 13-3 third period to take control en route to the win. Caden Bixler and Tyler Walker scored 11 each for Rochester in that game, while John Gardner put up 10, and Tyler Heckaman finished with eight.
