Woman Pleads Guilty To Stealing $200k From Notre Dame
SOUTH BEND — Jennifer Ihns, 44, pleaded guilty Monday after she was accused of stealing nearly $200,000 from Notre Dame over seven years.
Ihns pleaded guilty to all 11 counts. Her trial had been set to begin Monday.
Court documents say Ihns wrote checks to herself and then used forgery to cover the paper trail.
She had worked at the school’s Clinical Law Center and controlled its finances.
Ihns will repay Notre Dame $199,000.
As part of the plea deal, prosecutors won’t look for a prison sentence longer than five years.
Ihns will be sentenced on April 13.
