Robert W. Gordon
Robert “Bob” W. Gordon, 94, Plymouth, passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, after an extended illness.
He was born in Plymouth, on Feb. 24, 1923. He was preceded in death by his wife Martha E. Gordon. He was proud of his time serving in the Army during WWII. He was a born salesman and enjoyed visiting with folks. He was known in the community as the local Knapp shoe and sock salesman. Prior to that he was a salesman for Hawthorne Melody Ice Cream and Thom McAn shoes. Later, Robert and his wife Martha owned and operated Martha’s Pampered Poodles and Gordon’s Grooming.
He is survived by his son, James E. Gordon; his daughter-in-law, Martha S. Gordon; three granddaughters; Lara (Paul,) Latshaw, Jennifer Gordon, and Molly (Robert) Schlenkerman.
The Van Gilder Funeral Home is caring for the Gordon family. A funeral service will be held at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, IN 46563 on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #27, VFW #1162 and the D.A.V. #42
