Donald G. Hatfield
Donald G. Hatfield, known by most simply as “Don” or “Junior,” passed away in the early hours of Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, in Fort Wayne’s Lutheran Hospital. He was 71 years old.
He was born to Donald A. and Leota Faye (Pratt) Hatfield in Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw High School.
A man who enjoyed time spent outdoors, he had worked for Oakwood Cemetery. He also worked for Wabash Valley Manufacturing in Silver Lake.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and shooting, among other outdoor activities. He was best known for his sense of humor and his ability to lighten the mood and relentlessly pick on friends and family.
Although he belonged to a large extended family, a list of his nearest relatives includes his son, Brian Hatfield, Warsaw; two granddaughters: Hope Hatfield, Warsaw; and Monica Hatfield, Indianapolis; grandson, Damian Hatfield, Warsaw; and sister, Marjorie Caverley, Warsaw. Those who preceded him in passing include his son, Aaron Hatfield and his parents.
Friends may join the family to share memories, gathering at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw, from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Mike Beezley of Clunette United Methodist Church, will begin at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery.
