Valley Basketball: Trippiedi, Vikes Fire Past Warriors
AKRON – They were the only show in town Friday night, and Tippecanoe Valley made the most of it.
Tanner Trippiedi went off for 25 points, helping the Vikings defeat North Miami 60-45 in Three Rivers Conference boys basketball.
With a good portion of northern Indiana snowed out on Friday, Valley made the most of the original schedule to earn its second TRC win in a row. Trippiedi hit three from deep, but made his point from inside the arc, going 7-8 from two-point range. In all, the sophomore guard was 10-17 from the floor and added two rebounds and three steals.
Wes Melanson had one of his better efforts of late, scoring 11 points along with four rebounds and four steals.
Cam Parker and Jace Potter added six points each, Parker chipping in five assists, four rebounds and four steals.
Tristan Working dropped 19 points for the Warriors, which fall to 0-9 in the TRC and 3-15 overall.
Valley improves to 4-14 overall and 2-6 in the TRC, next challenge Tuesday when it hosts NorthWood.
