The weather is having a big impact on the area high school basketball schedule for tonight (Feb. 9).
The Lakeland Christian Academy JV/varsity boys games at South Bend Career Academy are postponed to Feb. 22. The junior varsity game at 6 p.m, varsity to follow.
The Triton JV/varsity boys games against Laville are postponed to tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 10. The JV game is set for 6 p.m., weather permitting, at Plymouth. Homecoming will take place immediately following the JV game.
The NorthWood JV/varsity boys games against Elkhart Memorial are postponed to Monday, Feb. 12. The JV game is set for 6:15 p.m. at NorthWood.
The Warsaw JV/varsity boys games against Plymouth are postponed to Tuesday, Feb. 13. The JV game is set for 6:15 p.m. at the Tiger Den. Also, the Band Booster’s Fish/Chicken Fry for tonight is postponed. It is rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 17 from 5-7:30 p.m. in the WCHS Cafeteria. Warsaw will be hosting Carmel that night in boys basketball action.
The Concord JV/varsity boys games at Northridge are postponed to Thursday, Feb. 15. The JV game is set for 6:15 p.m. at Northridge Middle School.
The Wawasee JV/varsity boys games against Goshen are postponed to Saturday, Feb. 10. The JV game is set for 6:15 p.m. at Wawasee. The games originally scheduled for Saturday at Mishawaka have been pushed back to Wednesday, Feb. 14, with a 6 p.m. JV start at The Cave.
The NLC freshman boys basketball tournament games at Concord will be moved from Saturday to Monday. Those games include Warsaw v. Memorial and Wawasee v. Concord. The two semi-final games will start at 6 p.m. at Concord’s McCuen and Activity gyms, with the consolation and championship games to follow.
Tippecanoe Valley announced this afternoon its TRC game hosting North Miami will still go on as scheduled. JV game starts at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow.
As of 1:15 p.m. Friday, the IHSAA Girls Swim State Finals are still on as scheduled, as are Saturday’s wrestling semi-states at East Chicago and Fort Wayne. Girls basketball regionals have not announced any advance delays.
