Dorothy Sue Adams
Dorothy Sue Adams, 84, Wabash, died at 1:06 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Wabash. She was born Feb. 26, 1933, in Paintsville, Ky. to Harry and Susie (Hall) Adams.
She was a 1951 graduate of Meade Memorial High School in Williamsport, Ky. She was a telephone operator at General Telephone/Verizon Telephone Company, retiring in 1989 after 37 and a half years. She was a member of Bachelor Creek Church of Christ. She enjoyed photography and traveling, but her family was most important to her.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy S. (Randall) Kline of Wabash; two granddaughters: Kristen (Anthony) McCoart of Wabash; and Jessica Saunders of Warsaw; four great-grandchildren: Kiley and Colton McCoart of Wabash; and Owen and Liam Saunders of Warsaw; and her sister, Phyllis (Charles Lee) Price of Somerset. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harry Adams, Jr. and Elmer Adams, and two sisters, Garnet Short and Beatrice Tabb.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Linda Mirante officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Alzheimers Association.
