Warsaw Gymnastics: Beckham Paces Tigers
WARSAW – Remi Beckham led the way as the Warsaw gymnastics team finished second in a four-team meet Wednesday night.
Beckham finished in a tie for second place in the all-around competition with a total score of 35.050 to lead the host Tigers.
Logansport won the meet with a team score of 102 and Warsaw was second at 100. Plymouth was third with 97 and Bremen fourth with a 31.
Beckham also earned first-place honors with her beam routine with a top score of 8.800. She also tied for second in the bars and tied for third place in the vault.
Daylen Turner finished in a fourth place in the floor exercise routine and also tied for fourth place in the vault for Warsaw.
Megan Metzger placed fourth in the bars and Anna Wainscott was fourth in the beam for the Tigers.
Emily Gunter was first in the floor exercise routine in the junior varsity portion of the meet for Warsaw.
Kendal Wilkinson of Logansport earned top all-around honors in the varsity competition with a total score of 36.400.
Warsaw will host Lakeland Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. for Senior Night.
