Thelma Jean Rudd — UPDATED
Thelma Jean Rudd, 85, Rochester, passed away at 12:10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Hickory Creek of Rochester.
In Silver Lake, on May 9, 1932, Thelma Rudd was born to Ossie and Dora Craft Howard.
Thelma and James G. Rudd were married on May 8, 1949, in the First Christian Church. They shared 64 years of life’s adventures. Sadly, he passed away on June 18, 2014.
She is lovingly remembered by two sons: Larry Rudd, Rochester; and Dennis Rudd, Tiosa; two grandchildren: Laura Whitenite and husband Donn, Rochester; and Joshua Rudd, North Webster; three great grandchildren: Cheyenne Whitenight, Gilead; Dakota Whitenight, Rochester; Cherokee Whitenight, Rochester; one great-great granddaughter, Bella Whitenight, Rochester; a sister, Eileen Davis and husband John, Rochester; three brothers: Carl Howard, Macy; Paul Howard, Rochester; Harold Howard and wife Ilene, Rochester; brother-in-law, Dale Rudd, Washington; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding Thelma in death are her parents; husband; a daughter, Linda Rudd in 1995; son Roger Rudd in 2015; daughter-in-law Josefina Rudd; two sisters: Finette Rudd, Betty Miller; a brother, Junior Bailey; In-laws C.L. Sr. and Esther Rudd; four sisters-in-law: Verda Koontzal, Nancy Howard, Jan Rudd, Phylis Howard; five brothers-in-law: Don Koontzal, Cecil Rudd, Butch Miller, C.L. Rudd Jr., Hurndon Rudd.
Pastor Mike Van Heyningen officiate services. Eastern Star services will be at 1:45 p.m.
Interment will be in the Athens Cemetery.
