Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
7:58 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, US 30, east of East Old Road US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Alexander M. Matushek, Brafferton Parkway, Fort Wayne; Joshua R. Clements, Winters Road, Roanoke. Matushek told police he was following Clements’ vehicle westbound on US 30. He said when the vehicle driven by Clements slowed in traffic, he was unable to stop, colliding into the back of Clements’ vehicle. Damage up to $25,000
7:07 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, US 30, west of North CR 650W, Atwood. Driver: Cody W. Demske, North Washington Street, Warsaw. Demske told police he was driving westbound on US 30 when a deer ran into the path of his vehicle. The driver told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Damage up to $10,000
6:27 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, North CR 650E, north of East CR 150N, Warsaw. Driver: Alisa J. Davis, North Barbee Road, Warsaw. Davis told police that she was northbound on CR 650E when a deer ran into the path of her vehicle. The driver told police she was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Damage up to $2,500.
5:57 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, US 30, west of Old Road US 30, Warsaw. Driver: Marshall D. Corson, Ringneck Trail, Warsaw. Corson told police he was traveling eastbound on US 30 when three deer ran into his path. He reported he was able to miss one of the deer but his vehicle was hit by two of the animals. Damage up to $2,500.

Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
6:23 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, Quince Road and 4B Road, Plymouth. Driver: Matthew Rice, Walkerton. Rice’s vehicle went off the road and struck a tree, causing his vehicle to roll over. He was transported by EMS to a hospital for a laceration to the head.
11:26 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 100 block Tamarack Road and 2C Road, Walkerton. Officers received a report of a single vehicle cars on Tamarack Road. When officers arrived they found a heavily damaged 2001 Chevrolet van sitting in the roadway, with no one around. They later located the driver: Matthew Thomas Morris, 40, Walkerton, attempting to leave the area. He was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
