Open Practice Interviews

The Career Center will host open mock interviews for anyone who wants to practice their interview skills. If you’re nervous about having an interview, or struggling to land a job because of the interview phase, these mock interviews will prepare you for the types of questions that could be asked. We’ll cover basic and personal questions, to how to highlight your skills in the conversation. We can also discuss how personal appearance makes a difference in an interview. Please drop by between 11 a.m. and noon to practice your interviewing skills. Just for participating, you’ll receive a 25 percent discount coupon to the Goodwill Retail Store.
Operating A Computer

Do you want or need to know how to operate a computer? Are you looking to enhance your computer skills? This workshop is designed to evaluate and start you out with the information you are seeking to better use a computer. You’ll learn basic functions, such as: starting a computer, what an operating system is, and using a mouse and keyboard. We’ll also cover typing, searching online and much more
Applying Online Workshop

Are you having trouble applying to jobs online? Do you become frustrated by not knowing your way around a computer? Is it difficult to find and complete applications that have moved online? The Warsaw Goodwill Career Center is here to help. We’ll give you the skills you need to become more comfortable with online applications.
Job Fair
- Wednesday, Feb. 14 / noon to 2 p.m.
This Valentine’s Day event will feature EDUStaffing (hiring for local teachers and subs), Nurses Etc., KGP Co., Staffmark and more. All the participating employers have immediate openings for a range of shifts and opportunities. Be prepared to interview on the spot! They will screen candidates on site, so please be prepared and dressed professionally. Stop by prior to the event and we’ll help you build a resume, design a cover letter and get you prepared with a practice interview.
Computers in the Workplace

Want an overview of what to expect in an office or manufacturing facility when it comes to computers? We’ll discuss the board knowledge you’ll need to tackle the modern workplace. Every company is different, so we’ll give you the essentials and pinpoint what type of computer use and knowledge is necessary for local employers.
Computer Skills & The Employer

The future workplace will be more technologically rich in the manufacturing and business / clerical fields; so wouldn’t you want to be ready? This exclusive presentation is designed to prepare you for the computerization that will take place for current manual labor jobs. Some have already shifted into the digital age. We’ll discuss why this is happening and why it’s important. We’ll also explain that this isn’t a trend, but just the tip of the iceberg for computers and tech for the coming future.
