Christina Marie “Chris” Deaton, 56, Pierceton, formerly of Omaha, Neb., passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Jan. 25, 2018, at her residence. She was born on Dec. 24, 1961, in San Fernando, Calif. to Stephen and Gloria (Maglieri) Pehanich.
She graduated in 1980 from Canoga Park High School in Canoga Park, Calif. and moved to Pierceton in August 2017 from Omaha, Neb. She was married on Oct. 21, 2017, in Pierceton to Clay Deaton Jr., who survives. She formerly worked as a nurse for Father Flanagan’s Boys Home in Boys Town, Neb. for many years.
She is survived by her husband; her son, Daniel (Renee) Paulin, Omaha, Neb.; daughter, Stephanie Paulin, Omaha, Neb.; grandson: Landon Paulin, Omaha, Neb.; mother, Gloria Pehanich, Denver, Colo.; sister, Angela Hauser, Denver, Colo.; two brothers: Gary (Kathy) Pehanich, Denver, Colo.; and Stephen (Loretta) Pehanich, Sacremento, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her father.
No public services will be held at this time. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN is in charge of arrangements.
