Martha ‘Midge’ Dinsmore
Martha “Midge” Dinsmore, 92, Plymouth, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, in the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.
Dinsmore was born on June 6, 1925, in Washburn, Tenn. to Claude E. and Manevera (Kitts) Dyer. On Nov. 28, 1946, Dinsmore became the bride of Herman L Dinsmore; he preceded her in passing in 2001.
She waitressed at the Culver Academy Inn, clerked at the A&P in Culver and also worked for Kmart. But her greatest joy was her family. Spending time with her grandchildren and tending to her flower and vegetable garden was her favorite past time. The Dinsmore family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff at Pilgrim Manor for their kind and compassionate care of Midge.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Linda Dinsmore; her two grandchildren, Emily Dinsmore and Adam Dinsmore. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Herman, her son, Rusty H. Dinsmore on Oct. 17, 2006, and her three sisters and three brothers.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Jan., 31, at the Maxinkuckee IOOF Cemetery in Culver, with close family friend Conny Nichols officiating. Midge will be laid to rest next to her husband and son.
A time of visiting with the Dinsmore family will be held from 10 -11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31.
