JoAnn Baker — UPDATED
JoAnn Baker, age 78, of Winona Lake, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, in Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake. She was born on June 29, 1939 in Gowanda, New York to Raymond and Helen Marie (Barton) Fulton.
She moved to Kosciusko County in 1972 from New York. She was united in marriage to Larry L. Baker on July 8, 1972 in Pierceton. She worked for Pletcher’s Grocery Store in Pierceton and at 1st National Bank in Warsaw doing clerical work. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Pierceton, where she was also a church treasurer.
She is survived by sons Bruce (Tanya) Reinhart of Cromwell, Robert Baker of Pierceton; daughters Sandra (Leon) Smith of Prairie Grove, Ark., Linda Sainer of Warsaw; sisters Nancy LeFort of Winona Lake, Mary Gervasi of Winona Lake; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry L. Baker on Oct. 29, 200; a son James Baker; daughters Sue Reinhart and LeAnne Baker.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A committal service will follow immediately after at 8 p.m. with Pastor Jim Baughman officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
