Titus Funeral Home Holding Advance Funeral Planning Workshops
WARSAW — Titus Funeral Home is holding advance funeral planning workshops on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at the Warsaw Public Library, conference room A/B. The workshop will include sessions at 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.
This advance funeral planning workshop will be informative and hands-on for those attendees desiring to prearrange their funeral services. The subjects covered will be extensive and open for questions and answers.
The importance of advance funeral planning as part of estate planning will include the new Indiana Medicaid regulations that govern the spend-down rule. This is very important as the time approaches for the possibility of the need to enter the care of a nursing home. Attendees will be shown how to avoid losing money set aside for funeral purposes to nursing home expenses
The ever-present issue of rising costs will be covered in detail in this workshop. How to remove the inflationary effects on funeral costs permanently, guaranteeing the price and not leaving the funeral bill to the survivors.
One of the more sensitive issues to be covered is the problem of overspending due to emotional stress at the time of death. Great consideration in detail will be covered on how to avoid this unnecessary spending for your survivors. You will be writing your own funeral cost estimate during the workshop.
One of the desires many people is to have their own personal wishes and desires performed at their funeral service. Choosing your own services – songs, scriptures, pictures, pallbearers as well as your casket and vault will also be covered. A PowerPoint presentation will be used to help walk you through the process of your own personal funeral choices.
