James Richard ‘Jim’ Starbuck
James Richard “Jim” Starbuck, 73, Fort Wayne, passed away at 3:09 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at Bethlehem Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation in Fort Wayne. He was born Jan. 19, 1944, in Camden to Clarence and Myrtle (Gibson) Starbuck.
He graduated from Camden High School in Camden and served in the United States Air Force. He worked in the Civil Air Force fixing airplanes as a mechanic and moved to Fort Wayne in 2015 from Marion.
He formerly attended The Ridge in Fort Wayne.
He is survived by three sisters: Helen Vanlaningham, Milford; Beverly Barturek and Sarah Lane, both of Logansport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Viola Simons and Evelyn Jervis; and three brothers: George, Clarence and Marion Starbuck.
Military graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 19, at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E. 38th St., Marion. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse is in charge of arrangements.
