Miller Remains President Of Claypool Council
CLAYPOOL — Business was quiet for the meeting of the Town of Claypool Board on Jan. 16.
The only new business to cover was the reelection of Niki Miller as the board’s president. Board member Larry Neher made the motion, with Liz Heiman seconding. This is Miller’s 10th year as president.
Some reminders were given for the public regarding snowfall.
- Don’t push snow into the street as it poses a traffic hazard.
- Bring trash cans in off of the street curb in a timely manner. Bins that are left out are problematic to plows.
- Don’t park in alleyways so they can be cleaned. An officer will be sent out if a vehicle is found in an alley.
- No parking on Main Street between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. until May 1 for snow removal.
Stuart Watkins, a trustee at the Claypool United Methodist Church, was present to remind the board that the church has a fund to assist local residents in emergencies. Clerk-treasurer Pat Warner will help connect residents in need with the church.
The next regular meeting will be 7 p.m. Feb. 20, at the Lions Club building.
