Betty Jane Taylor
Betty Jane Taylor, 92, formerly of Milford, died Jan. 13, 2018, at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, Ill. Taylor was born to Warren Henry Moore and Lulu Moore on Feb. 6, 1925, in Trenton, Mo. She was married to Bill Williams; he passed on Dec. 27, 1963. She later married Burton W. Taylor on June 28, 1964; he passed in 1993.
Taylor honorably served her country in the Women’s Army Corps during WWII. She remained a true patriot all her life; no matter where she moved she always had a flag pole in the front yard. She was a hardworking beautician for 30 years and enjoyed sewing in her free time. She was a good mother and had an unshakable bond with her children. She was a member of the Milford Christian Church in Milford.
Taylor is survived by a daughter, Arlene (James) Lea of Villa Park, Ill.; two step daughters: Constance Bailey of Detroit, Mich. and Donnelda (Billie) Dill of Banghor, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Lucinda Gail Artzer and Kathryn Williams and a step son, Ronald Burton Taylor.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Milford Christian Church in Milford. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Milford.
Friends and family will be received from 3-9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 18, at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Milford and on Friday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
